Naquetia rhondae

Houart, R. & Lorenz, F. (2015):
Description of a New Species of Naquetia (Gastropoda: Muricidae) from the Red Sea and Redefinition of N. jickelii.
Conchylia 44(3-4) p. 7-13.

This species was discovered in the northern part of the Red Sea and recognized as new by Dr. Lorenz. He consulted Roland Houart, world's leading expert in the family Muricidae for his opinion. It was subsequently described in honor of Rhonda Mont.

Few specimens have so far been collected, all in caves at 20-30 m, mostly in the south of Hurghada, Egypt.
